THE SACRAMENT OF HOLY ORDERS
1536 - Holy Orders is the sacrament through which the mission entrusted by Christ to his apostles continues to be exercised in the Church until the end of time: thus it is the sacrament of apostolic ministry. It includes three degrees: episcopate, presbyterate, and diaconate. Catechism of the Catholic Church no. 1536
Jesus says, “The harvest is great, but the laborers are few.” Pray that the harvest master will send workers into the harvest. In other words, the Church is as much His concern as it is ours. To that end, we need to pray for vocations (as individuals and as a community) and ask His continued guidance in this area.
If you would like to speak with someone regarding vocations to either the priesthood or religious life, please call the Parish Office at 407-277-1702 and make an appointment to meet with Fr. Skip or Fr. Joe. Another option is to go to the Diocesan Vocation Office and speak to Fr. Jorge Torres at 407-246-4875 or Sister Kathleen Powers at 407-246-4928.
