Our Lady of Victory Rosary Makers of Blessed Trinity
The word rosary comes from Latin word rosarium, meaning rose garden or garland of roses, the rose being one of the flowers used to symbolize the Virgin Mary. The rosary is devotion in honor of the Virgin Mary and its purpose is to keep in memory certain principal events in the history of our salvation, and to thank and praise God for them. To pray the rosary is to meditate on the great mysteries of our salvation.
Our Lady of Victory Rosary Makers of Blessed Trinity was started by a group of 5 ladies in May of 2011. As of December 2011, we have 16 wonderful and talented members. We make corded rosaries and send them to missions, nursing homes, and to anyone who is of spiritual need and/or economic need. We also make and donate military rosaries which are distributed through the CCW (Council of Catholic Women) military care packages twice a year.
Through personal funds, donations, and fundraisers, we are able to order materials to make the corded rosaries and donate them.
If you are interested in joining our endeavor or would like more information, we welcome you to our fellowship gatherings every 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month 9:00 a.m. at the Parish Center.
